VOOM Podcast - Food with purpose with Wahaca and Aduna

The VOOM Podcast from Virgin Media Business returns for a fourth series, as Nikki Bedi talks to mavericks, innovators and risk-takers to find out what it takes to see beyond everyday obstacles and how the world’s most creative people are able to think differently.

We’ll also be meeting the next generation of business leaders with reports from this years' VOOM competition - the UK and Ireland’s most exciting pitch event, with £1 million pounds worth of prizes and business support up for grabs.

In the first episode of this new series Nikki meets Thomasina Miers, founder of Mexican food chain Wahaca, and Andrew Hunt, founder of African-inspired superfood company Aduna. Together they discuss how they’ve built 'profit with purpose' into their business journeys - from scaling sustainability within the restaurant world, to kickstarting a new industry for rural African producers.

Meanwhile our roving VOOM reporter, Chris Reed, heads out onto the streets to catch-up with Cemal Ezel, founder of Change Please.

Cemal explains how his coffee company is leading the fight against homelessness in London, as well as what he’ll be looking for in a business in his role as a judge for this year’s Virgin Unite Impact Award.
